Still playing hard rock, but not so classic like in his first albums, is how I can describe the artistic composition of “Good 2b alive”, fourth official record of the band from Virginia, US.
Mili stated in an interview made not too long ago that he left behind the first era of Steelheart and now he is focused in more concentrated in different things.
How can we take this? well, there is not an extreme difference between old a new era, but there are some new sounds like voices with effects, like usually are used in the industrial music market, for example.
Also the adding of irons and orchestra in “Underground” (where was included the sax) and the acoustic version of “Good 2B Alive”, are some aspects that are different from the old sound.
But there are also some stuffs that keep the band with the same personality, like the choruses in the last track keep the same soul than “Mama Don't You Cry” but sang by grown people and not by kids.
The most remarkable of all this is that the voice of Mili is maintained in a so good, so good performance that he will kick your ass!!! Is amazing how good he sings.
Remember that Matijevic was the guy behind some of the songs of the movie "Rockstar" played by mark Whalberg. If you didn't see it, is a blockbuster!
I have to add that the logo of the album is excellent, it shows the new logo of Steelheart, which is could be seen in the new line of cloth that Mili launched, which is designed by his soulmate.

The record grows on you. It's basically a modern mid-tempo affair continuing on the legacy of Led Zeppelin.. Mr. Matijevic plays most guitars and while the tempo of the music has slowed down, the detuned guitars are more aggressive than ever making it a very bombastic album
 The "new" Steelheart has a great vibe and a fresh sound - it is not for all "old" Steelheart fans or the average rock fan. This is 21st century Hard Rock!

In my opinion, Miljenko Matijevic should be recognized as one of the great voices in hard rock & heavy metal.  What's most impressive about Matijevic's voice in songs like "LOL" is how aggressive he sings. I can quite appreciate it. “I breathe” is a very sentimental song… the lyrics make it sound like the outpour of a soul…onto the world. It’s one of the songs that really touched me. It’s a semi-sedate song, musically, before it breaks into a twisted dtunded riff and then it continues semi-hypnotically, but for the sensational vocal performance !
Nice ! I sincerely hope this album does well, because, it's a sincere album, it's an "artistic" album, an album
where the artist freely creates music, without confining himself to what his percieved audience might want
to here, making a bold statement and that my friends takes guts !!!

I remember first hearing “LOL” on XM Radio’s Boneyard channel earlier this year and it blew me away.
Why this song wasn’t all over mainstream rock radio, I don’t know. “Shine a Light for Me” and “Good 2B Alive”
are definitely single worthy as well. Even my fiancee is enjoying these songs (especially “LOL”) and we have totally
different tastes when it comes to rock (she’s into the newer, blander bands more than I am).an’t Stop Me Lovin’ You”, I wasn’t too familiar with them. I was missing out on a lot Highlights: All of it. Seriously, one of 2008’s best albums.
